This tunnel motor was outfitted with a widecab for test reasons, it was hiddin behind some other rolling stock at the Transportation Technology Center.

karl Hamilton General It was used to test climbers and run into, coal cars, containers, a log truck, a flatbed with a 40K lb coil of steel on it. That one looked unsurvivable as the engineer took a direct hit and the conductors side was ripped off and he wasa slammed forward. May ahve been 1 other wreck, can't remember. Test Dummies were used of course. It did climb a flat trailer train car, causing teh 5 th wheels to come up and the rear one caught the nose of the cab causing it to push the car on top of the next one, may have been a coal car, making a ramp for the engine to climb. . 8/23/2014 1:06:57 AM
