Description:  The UP uses the 4-6-6-4 Challenger No. 3985 to pull the Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus train from Speer, WY to Denver, CO. There were way too many morons out on the road. Makes me wish I had a shotgun.

Military Train
Title:  Military Train
Description:  A northbound military train stops at the Crews Control Point with a clear signal. The Second motor was shut down with low oil and wouldn't restart and the lead motor shut down because of low water. A homeowner next to the tracks was nice enough and had a long enough hose to stretch over to the train and fill up the cooling water system so the engine would restart and continue it's journey.

Description:  I was invited into the cab of the SLRG 18 just moments before they fired her up. The fireman took an oil covered rag, lit it on fire, and threw it in the firebox. This is the first time i've ever seen this done, so it was pretty cool.
